Mandate Suspension Complaints

The Credit Association Of South Africa (CASA) Is Committed To Promoting A Fair, Responsible, And Ethical Credit Industry

In recent months, CASA members have reported an increase in debit order cancellations being processed by banks without verification of the underlying debit order mandate. This practice allows consumers to dispute or cancel debit orders without providing justification, which may lead to non-payment of valid and lawful credit agreements. CASA would like to support our members in addressing this issue.

To support this process, CASA is collecting individual complaints from credit providers who have been affected by debit order cancellations.
